The YOCS house consists of guests, ex-members, active members, and the Board. Everyone comes to YOCS to become better speakers, listeners, and thinkers. Added to this, our members have additional responsibilites, to ensure the smooth functioning of the Club and its events. Senior members continue to support the Club in many ways. The Board, which consists of the President, Secretary, and Treasurer, oversees the activities of the Club and is responsible for decision-making. It is our hope that everybody who attends a session leaves satisfied and stimulated. While a lot of our people are students, people of all ages are and have been a part of YOCS. To be one as well, all you need to do it walk in to a session.

“YOCS made me, me. I feel the blood rush to my brain- in the best way possible- when my ideas, my thoughts are challenged. To have opinions is easy. To have them challenged, to defend them and if necessary discard them is extremely difficult. But I have been able to do it and I still do it every Saturday evening. And so has every single person who has come to YOCS. It’s made me more thoughtful and taught me patience. I’m a big believer in the power of words and the power of words to change things for the better. And two years of YOCS, has given me a sense of empowerment. So come down, join us and mull over everything that is to be mulled over!”

"YOCS has been, and continues to be, one of the most enriching and formative experiences of my life. When I attended my first session, in my first year as an engineering student, I was only looking for a place to add some variety to my routine. My expectations were met, and subsequently dwarfed as I realised that it was much more than a public speaking club. YOCS has taught me to think, to critique, to listen, and to grow. It has also afforded me the privilege of being introduced to extremely interesting questions, ideas, and people. Come down to a session sometime - I'm sure you'll find something to treasure."

"YOCS made me realize that public speaking is more than flowery language and rhetoric, and taught me how oratory can be used as a medium to initiate dialogue and discourse on social issues. It has also taught me to keep myself open to all ideas and critically examine them. YOCS and the people I have met here have been instrumental in shaping my worldview."

"YOCS is the most romantic, timeless black hole. Each one here stuck in some part of time. Some in the Shakespearen era, some in the future full of drones... rushing faster than our intellect. Some dabbling with what's in the here and now, some romanticising it, some criticising. Besides all of this I've grown to be humble, I've gathered what I know into one single capsule, and had a hands on experience about how little I  know. I've stopped fearing failure and I've grown to be a bud nourished with wonderful ingredients and as I think of the coming sessions I hope to sprout."

"YOCS has been a great place for me so far. As a platform and as a society, there's always so much more than just listening to perspectives. It needed me to look at myself and anything and everything I held interest in. I opened myself to all ideas. Even today, it terrifies me. But so far it's also been something that has saved me. I can gladly say that it's my weekly ritual to rejuvenation. Maybe that's why it's a little sacred to me. The best part is that you're welcomed here even before you know it."
